As a civil litigator and trial lawyer for the last 22 years, T. L. Summerville has successfully handled high-stakes litigation for clients large and small in a variety of real estate, business, and commercial lawsuits, including claims for breach of contract, limited liability company member oppression and breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of commercial construction and real estate development agreements. Mr. Summerville has also represented municipal entities and subdivisions in construction and related disputes, financial institutions in mortgage and consumer credit disputes, and landowners in premises liability actions. He has also counseled business owners and entrepreneurs on matters ranging from entity formation to litigation avoidance strategies. Mr. Summerville is a former president of the Wolverine Bar Association, has served on the Commercial Litigation Committee of the State Bar of Michigan’s Business Law Section, and is a member of the American Bar Association.
