Angela Emmerling Shapiro is a shareholder at the firm. She specializes in complex business and commercial litigation in multiple state and federal courts and is a member of the firm's Technology & eDiscovery practice team. In addition to traditional litigation, she has extensive arbitration experience having defended securities brokers and broker/dealers in customer arbitrations across the country. Ms. Shapiro regularly speaks on the topic of e-discovery/ESI and has also been an adjunct securities regulations professor at Ave Maria School of Law. She serves on the board of the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, the Oakland County Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association. Ms. Shapiro is admitted to practice in Michigan as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. She graduated magna cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law.
