President of the firm, Michael E. Sawicky specializes in criminal and civil litigation, as well as appellate practice. With regular appearances in the Oakland County Circuit, Family, and District Courts, he is continuously involved in all aspects of the criminal and civil litigation process. Mr. Sawicky is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan as well as all Michigan courts. He is also a magistrate in the 47th District Court, where he conducts misdemeanor and felony arraignments, conducts informal hearings in traffic matters, authorizes arrest and search warrants, and presides over small-claim civil cases. He also formerly worked as an assistant prosecuting attorney with the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office. Mr. Sawicky is or has been a member of the Criminal Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, the Federal and Oakland County Bar Associations, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan, the National District Attorneys Association, the State Appellate Defenders Office, and Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan.
