Sahera G. Housey is a referee at the court. She previously practiced in the areas of family law and probate and estate planning. Ms. Housey is a member and former chair of the State Bar of Michigan Family Law Section, Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) Family Law Section (as well as former chair of the section), fellow of the Oakland County Bar Foundation, fellow of the State Bar of Michigan Foundation, and a member of the Chaldean American Bar Association. She is a current board member and former president of the Referees Association of Michigan (RAM) and trustee/board member and former president of the Michigan Inter-Professional Association on Marriage, Divorce, and the Family. Ms. Housey is a presenter for the Michigan Judicial Institute (MJI), Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE), and the Friend of the Court Bureau.
