Susan S. Lichterman leads her firm's Family Law Group in its Detroit office and is also a member of its Appellate and Litigation and Dispute Resolution Groups. She specializes in all aspects of domestic relations law, including divorce, separation, custody, parenting time, child support, spousal support, paternity, pre- and postnuptial agreements, change of domicile, postjudgment modifications, and other family law matters. In addition to representing and advocating for both men and women in domestic relations matters, Ms. Lichterman also serves as a neutral mediator and arbitrator. She has testified in family court as an expert in the area of family law, has extensive experience handling family law appeals in the Michigan Court of Appeals, and has also appeared before the Michigan Supreme Court. Ms. Lichterman works with estates and families of all sizes and specializes in high-net-worth estates. In addition, Ms. Lichterman has handled probate litigation and general commercial litigation matters and serves as a hearing panelist for the Attorney Discipline Board. She is a member of the Family Law and Litigation Sections of the State Bar of Michigan, the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association, and the Oakland County Bar Association and its Family Law and Circuit Court Committees.
