Carol A. Laughbaum has more than 25 years of experience successfully representing plaintiffs in employment and other civil rights matters--both prelitigation and in all aspects of litigation at the trial and appellate court levels (including briefing and arguing cases before the Michigan Court of Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals). Ms. Laughbaum has obtained numerous high six-figure and seven-figure verdicts and a $16.8 million federal jury verdict on behalf of her client and against a major automaker in a race/ethnicity and national origin discrimination case. She is a member of the Michigan Association for Justice, the State Bar of Michigan's Labor and Employment Law Section, and the National Employment Lawyers Association. Ms. Laughbaum was named a Michigan Super Lawyer, has been profiled in area publications as one of the go-to lawyers for employment law in Michigan, and has been recognized as one of the top women attorneys in Michigan.
