Lori M. McAllister has 36 years of experience and focuses her practice on governance, litigation, and insurance regulation.While Ms. McAllister provides comprehensive insurance industry counseling on all manner of transactions, she is particularly well known for converting mutual insurance companies into stock companies under Michigan's demutualization statute and the creation of mutual holding companies. She has a long record of success defending clients in class-action lawsuits, securities matters, and other high-risk commercial disputes. She maintains an active practice before the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services and has successfully represented clients in cases before the Insurance Division where tens of millions of dollars were at issue. Ms. McAllister was inducted into the Michigan Insurance Hall of Fame in 2021.
