Stuart A. Sklar has litigated hundreds of cases in which fire and explosion origin, cause, and responsibility were at issue and is a nationally recognized expert in this highly specialized field. He has also litigated numerous cases against insurance agents and brokers. Mr. Sklar received the certified fire and explosion investigator designation from the National Association of Fire Investigators. For 20 years, he served as a principal member of the National Fire Protection Association's (NFPA) Technical Committee on Fire Investigations, which is responsible for NFPA 921 "Guide for Fire and Explosion Investigations," and currently serves as a principal member on the Technical Committee on Fire Investigator Professional Qualifications, which is responsible for NFPA 1033 "Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Investigator."
