A member of the State Bar of Michigan since 1984, Elizabeth A. Silverman has twice been chair of the General Practice Section, has served in every officer position of the Section, and is currently serving on the Section Council. She also served on the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee for the State Bar of Michigan. A graduate of Wayne State University Law School, Ms. Silverman began her legal career with Carson Fischer Potts in Birmingham working with local celebrities such as Rich Fischer and Bill Bonds. She became a solo practitioner in 1990 and has focused her practice in domestic relations. Ms. Silverman was most recently mother's counsel in "Mueller v Mueller," in which the trial court decision to prohibit father's girlfriend from spending overnights when he had parenting time was upheld in the Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court.
