Laurel Stuart-Fink

West Bloomfield, Michigan


Laurel Stuart-Fink practices domestic relations and appellate law. In addition, she serves as a facilitative mediator and currently devotes a substantial part of her practice to serving as guardian ad litem and parenting coordinator in high-conflict custody and parenting time disputes. In practice since 1984, she has maintained her own solo practice law firm since 1992, practicing primarily in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb Counties, as well as in the Michigan appellate courts. Ms. Stuart-Fink is a member of the Family Law, Appellate, and LGBTQA practice sections of the State Bar of Michigan. She was a member of the Family Law Ad Hoc Child Support Committee, whose work contributed to the abolition of the shared economic responsibility "cliff" from the Michigan Child Support Formula, and cochaired the "Michigan Family Law Journal" from 2002 to 2006. Ms. Stuart-Fink is a member of the Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) and has served as a family law practice mentor for its attorney mentor program. She has performed pro bono legal services for the OCBA and is a proud ongoing participant in the Oakland County Constitution Day program. Ms. Stuart-Fink also provides pro bono legal services through the Jewish Family Services Legal Referral Service in the greater Detroit area. In addition, she has been involved in the Access to Justice Program and was a presenter for the Legal Aid and Defender training program in 2010. She was a speaker for ICLE at the 5th, 8th, and 12th Annual Family Law Institutes as well as other ICLE seminars. Ms. Stuart-Fink earned an ICLE Family Law Certificate in 2012. She has been a member and a fellow of the Oakland County Bar Foundation since 2011.
