Specializing in insurance coverage law and appellate practice for over 25 years, Deborah A. Hebert devotes a considerable part of her practice to commercial general liability coverage. In addition to preparing formal coverage opinions, she regularly represents clients in declaratory judgment actions at both the trial and appellate levels. Ms. Hebert assisted Hal Carroll in forming the Insurance and Indemnity Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan and served on its council for a number of years. She has authored a regular feature in the section’s quarterly "Journal of Insurance and Indemnity Law" since its inception, reporting on appellate decisions of interest. Ms. Hebert is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel, and the State Bar of Michigan's Appellate Practice Section (of which she was the founding chair in 1995 and continued to serve in various capacities through 2006).
