Frances Murphy has been practicing law for ten years. Ms. Murphy practices in plaintiff personal injury, handling mostly personal protection insurance cases and third-party automobile negligence cases on behalf of injured claimants and medical providers. She also handles dog bites, slip-and-falls, nail salon injuries, dram shop actions, and other personal injury matters. Prior to starting her own practice, Ms. Murphy worked at Garan Lucow Miller P.C.’s Detroit, Grand Blanc, and Troy offices as a law clerk until being offered an Associate’s position after passing the bar. In 2019, she was voted in as a Tier 3 partner at the firm. While at the firm, Ms. Murphy represented Stellantis and Enterprise in PIP and third-party auto cases while transitioning to plaintiff work. She fully transitioned to plaintiff work in 2021 and immediately joined the Michigan Association for Justice. Ms. Murphy was named an Up and Coming Lawyer by Michigan Lawyers Weekly in 2017, has been named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers from 2019-2023, and was named a Top Women Attorneys in Michigan in 2022 and 2023 by Hour Detroit.
