Rachel Brochert Roe is chief legal officer for the health system. Ms. Roe works closely with the board of directors and executive team to provide compliant and effective strategies and solutions to the many complex issues facing health care organizations. Prior to her appointment in 2017, she served as assistant general counsel. Previously, Ms. Roe was a partner at Smith Haughey, Rice, and Roegge, where she specialized in in health law. Earlier in her career, she served as assistant prosecuting attorney for Grand Traverse County and as a law clerk to Judge Maura Corrigan of the Michigan Court of Appeals and Justice Patricia Boyle of the Michigan Supreme Court. Ms. Roe is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the State Bar of Michigan Health Law Section.
