Herbert F. Allen serves as cochair of the firm’s Antitrust and Unfair Trade Practices Practice Group. Mr. Allen defends M&A transactions before the FTC, DOJ, and state antitrust enforcers. He is an experienced litigator on antitrust issues in the health care and pharmaceutical sectors, and has secured antitrust approval for dozens of M&A transactions involving physician groups, surgery centers, and pharmaceutical companies. In his counseling practice, Mr. Allen provides strategic guidance on premerger notification issues, intellectual property concerns, and antitrust compliance matters. He also frequently advises health care providers on the formation of provider networks and joint ventures. Mr. Allen currently serves as the chair of the American Health Law Association Antitrust Practice Group.
