John W. Polderman is a member of the Receivership Practice Group at the firm. Mr. Polderman’s practice focuses on asset disposition and creditors’ rights. He specializes in the areas of receivership and collections in civil, family and business cases. Mr. Polderman has been involved in over 400 receivership cases over the past 17 years, and during that time has managed and transitioned numerous assets. These have included apartment buildings, gas stations, commercial and industrial buildings, restaurants and bars, liquor licenses, vacant land, homeowners’ associations, shopping centers, bowling alleys, mobile home parks, doctors’ offices, a health care staffing company and cannabis grow and retail facilities. He handles all aspects of the administration, sale, wind-down and transfer of receivership assets, including the recovery of voidable transfers, the claims disposition process, the distribution process, and following distribution, the closing of the receivership.
