Gregory K. Need

Gregory K. Need practices in the areas of municipal law, zoning and land use, and estate planning. A member of the Oakland County Bar Association's municipal law committee, he has served three times as the committee's chair. Mr. Need has authored several articles and lectured extensively on zoning and land use matters for such organizations as ICLE, the Michigan Society of Planning, Michigan Townships Association, and Citizen Planner program. He currently serves as city attorney for Pleasant Ridge, lead counsel for the townships of Springfield and Holly in Oakland County, and has served as special counsel for several other communities. Mr. Need is also an adjunct professor at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, teaching zoning and land use law. He also serves as treasurer for the Clarkston Community Schools board of education. Mr. Need has been designated from 2008-present as a Michigan Super Lawyer in the area of land use, zoning, and municipal law.
