As an attorney at her firm, Ashley Tenell Lee works on complex corporate transactions and endeavors to bring ground-breaking technology to market. Her practice focuses on corporate governance, intellectual property protection and commercialization, and exit strategy. From early seed stage start-ups to high-growth enterprises, Ms. Lee leverages her expertise to accelerate the development of high-potential businesses through contract drafting and advising on matters including company formation, trademarks, licensing, equity relations, technology agreements, financing, mergers and acquisitions, and exits. Since joining the firm in 2015, she has developed a comprehensive understanding of her clients' organizational structure and obligations and partners with management as appointed general counsel and serves as acting secretary on various boards of directors. Helping to devise strategies on corporate governance, Ms. Lee provides sound operating principles that optimize performance and impact. Prior to this, Ms, Lee clerked for the Michigan Department of Civil Rights assisting in the settlement of complaints regarding race and gender discrimination, migrant work conditions, and harassment.
