Danielle F. Bass is a partner at the firm. She focuses her practice on transactional matters involving information technology and intellectual property, with an emphasis on commercial relationships. Ms. Bass drafts and negotiates various commercial agreements regarding the development, licensing, and use of intellectual property and technology--including related maintenance and support agreements--as well as outsourcing and service arrangements. She also counsels clients on entertainment and other media matters. Ms. Bass is a lecturer at the University of Michigan Law School and the University of Chicago Law School, where she teaches transactional drafting and a one-of-a-kind practical course on technology transactions. She serves as a board member and chairwoman for the Detroit chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. Ms. Bass has been widely recognized for her professional excellence, including being named a "Crain's Detroit Business" Notable Woman in Law (2021); a "Michigan Lawyers Weekly" Influential Woman of Law (2024), Influential Woman of the Year (2024), and a Michigan Go To Lawyer for Business Transactions (2024); a "DBusiness" Thirty in Their Thirties (2025) and Top Lawyer (2025); and being listed in "The Best Lawyers in America" (2026). She attended the University of Michigan Law School where she graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif.
