Hon. Sara A. Schimke was appointed to the bench in April 2022 by Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Prior to her appointment, Judge Schimke devoted her career to private practice for the firms of Chalgian & Tripp Law Offices, PLLC; Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, PC; and Barron, Rosenburg, Mayoras & Mayoras, PC. Her practice focused on probate law, estate planning, and advocacy. In addition, Judge Schimke previously served as an adjunct professor at Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
