He served as a state prosecutor with the Manhattan District Attorney's Office for seven years before becoming an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Detroit where he served for another seven years. As a prosecutor, Mr. Freeman handled a variety of state and federal crimes, including firearms offenses and homicide. Since forming his own firm in 2007, Mr. Freeman has represented clients of all kinds, including companies and members of federal, state, and local law enforcement, in all types of criminal matters in Michigan and elsewhere, ranging from misdemeanors to complex white-collar fraud, including capital offenses such as murder.
