Heather J. Atnip founded Atnip & Associates in 2014. While attending Wayne State University Law School, she worked at an insurance company focusing primarily on insurance defense. She then worked for a large plaintiff firm, successfully litigating a large number of cases. In 2010 she co-founded Romanzi Atnip PC, and focused on catastrophic first-party and third-party cases. She has spoken on numerous occasions for the Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ) on the topics of cross-examining neuropsychologists, obtaining large verdicts, and the relationship between the plaintiff attorney and medical provider. She is an American Bar Association fellow and a member of the MAJ, where she serves on the executive board; the State Bar of Michigan; the Women's Bar Association; the Brain Injury Association of Michigan; and the Macomb County Bar Association, where she serves as a trustee. She was named a Michigan "Up and Coming Lawyer" in 2011, a "Rising Star" in 2012, a "Super Lawyer" and a "Top Woman Attorney" in 2013-14, a "Top 40 Under 40" in 2014, a "Top U.S. Executive" in 2014, and a National Professional Association of Women "Woman of the Year."
