Jarrod T. Smith is the leader of the firm's public finance team and practices out of the firm's Lansing office. Before his current role, Mr. Smith was an assistant attorney general with the Michigan Attorney General's Office for over 12 years. During his time as an assistant attorney general, he acted as an issuer's counsel to the state of Michigan and its various authorities for numerous transactions. Specifically, Mr. Smith represented the state of Michigan, the Department of Treasury, the Department of Transportation, the State Building Authority, the Michigan Finance Authority, the Michigan Strategic Fund, and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority. He is a member of the Michigan Bar Association and the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
