Navigate Tricky ADA Accommodation Issues

In this limited-enrollment interactive workshop, our experts walk you through five common ADA accommodation scenarios. They will highlight common accommodation mistakes counsel and HR professionals make, and will focus on best practices for each situation. For each scenario, you'll get a 360-degree view of the situation from our speakers: a plaintiff's attorney, management's counsel, a human resource professional, and an EEOC investigator.

This practical, hands-on approach to accommodation covers the most critical ADA workplace developments, including significant court cases, the EEOC's latest policies, the EEOC's 2011 Final Regulations on the ADA Amendments Act, and the recent EEOC Enforcement Guidance on the ADA and Pregnancy Discrimination Act.

Attend and Learn to:

  • Navigate the new EEOC enforcement guidance on the ADA and Pregnancy Discrimination Act
  • Get an EEOC investigator's perspective on the intake interview
  • Identify how attendance, punctuality, and complying with conduct rules fit into being a qualified individual with a disability
  • Understand conduct rules, reasonable accommodation requirements, and the latest issues about medical examinations of applicants and incumbents
  • Analyze and document the most common accommodation issues
  • Train supervisors and managers to avoid regarding an employee as disabled under the ADAAA
  • Handle telecommuting as an accommodation
