MRTA Deadline Extended
Updated Legal Update
2025 PA 13, which went into effect on September 29, 2025, once again extends the deadline for preserving certain property rights and interests in a marketable record title under the Marketable Record Title Act (MRTA), this time to September 29, 2027. Check out this updated Legal Update for a breakdown of the rights and interests affected.
MSC October Case Preview
New Legal Update
The Michigan Supreme Court is scheduled to hear a variety of cases throughout the 2025-2026 term. This new Legal Update previews the cases slated for oral argument this month, including one case on which leave to appeal has been granted and a number of cases under the mini-oral argument on the application rules.
