Margaret A. Leary has been director of the University of Michigan Law Library since 1984. From 1973 to 1981, she served as assistant director and from 1982 through 1984 as associate director. Ms. Leary also served as a lecturer in the School of Information at the University of Michigan. She received a B.A. from Cornell University, an M.A. from the University of Minnesota School of Library Science, and a J.D. from the William Mitchell College of Law. Ms. Leary is a member and former president of the American Association of Law Libraries, a trustee of William Mitchell College of Law and a member of the American Bar Association, the American Library Association and the Association of American Law Schools. She has written numerous articles on legal research in the Law Library Journal and other professional journals.
