Charlene E. Shaya is vice-chairperson of the board and chief operating officer for J & B Medical Supply Co., Inc, which services several hundred thousand beneficiaries with Medicaid/Medicare/HMOs and various health plans nationwide and is recognized by Women's Business Enterprise. She also owns her own company, Dynamic Synergy, which helps various health care entities become more profitable, and a private practice firm that specializes in general corporate matters. Ms. Shaya plays an active role in the health care community globally, and has helped develop various programs to cope with the reduction of fee screens, and changing compliance requirements. Ms. Shaya was interviewed as a possible candidate for Lieutenant Governor in Gov. Rick Snyder's administration. She is a board member for HealthPlus and member of the board of trustees at William Beaumont Hospital. Ms. Shaya is an active member of the American Bar Association and State Bar of Michigan, and a former associate of the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office. She earned her juris doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
