Carla D. Aikens is the founding attorney of the firm. Her practice focuses on defending victims of both personal injuries and employment law violations while also continuing to build on her substantial business law experience by providing litigation and transactional services for companies throughout the United States. When Ms. Aikens was an infant, her father was injured in an accident that left him in need of a wheelchair, so she has a very personal connection to helping clients with personal injury cases, a thorough understanding of the rehabilitation process, and a keen ability to empathize in a myriad of different situations. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. Ms. Aikens also serves on the board of governors of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), on the executive board of the AAJ's Minority Caucus, as chair of the James W. Baker Trial Lawyers Caucus, and on the executive board of the Michigan Association for Justice.
