Christopher M. Trebilcock

Christopher M. Trebilcock, deputy leader of the firm's Labor and Employment Group, represents clients in federal and state employment and labor litigation, including oral arguments before the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Michigan Court of Appeals. He also manages arbitrations and administrative proceedings at the state and federal level, conducts collective bargaining negotiations, and advises clients on all labor and employment issues. In addition, Mr. Trebilcock's work with school districts and universities includes providing guidance on responding to Freedom of Information Act requests, compliance with the Open Meetings Act, student disciplinary matters, and employee discipline and discharge. He has also provided extensive advice to public entities seeking to enter into intergovernmental cooperation agreements. Mr. Trebilcock is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of both the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan; the Oakland County Bar Association; and the Federal Bar Association for the Eastern District of Michigan. He is also a member of the National School Board Association's Council of School Attorneys and the Michigan Council of School Attorneys. Mr. Trebilcock was named a Super Lawyers Michigan Rising Star for 2008 and 2009 in the area of employment and labor.
