Shaheen I. Imami's main areas of practice are trust, estate, and probate litigation; trust and estate administration; trust and estate appellate work; estate planning; and mediation. Mr. Imami has successfully completed ICLE's 40-hour General Civil Mediation Training and is a certified civil mediator. He is a past chair for the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan (SBM) and has been a member of the council and executive committee for 11 years. Mr. Imami remains active in various special committees and work groups with the state bar. In 2013, he was elected as a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, where he is a member of the Fiduciary Practice, Fiduciary Litigation, and Program Committees, as well as the chair for the state of Michigan. In addition, Mr. Imami is a member of the SBM's Business Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution Sections; the Real Property, Trust, and Estate Law Section of the American Bar Association; and several local bar associations. He is a regular speaker and contributor to seminars sponsored by ICLE on topics related to the litigation and administration of trusts, estates, and other probate matters and is a past contributing author for the "Michigan Probate and Estate Planning Journal." Mr. Imami has been recognized by Michigan Super Lawyers and by "DBusiness" (as a Top Lawyer in Detroit) and has an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
