Dean M. Googasian

Bloomfield Hills, Michigan


For more than two decades, Dean M. Googasian has focused his practice on representing plaintiffs in catastrophic injury, professional negligence, and personal injury cases, as well as select commercial litigation matters. He is a past chair of the State Bar of Michigan United States Courts Committee and currently serves on the Oakland County Bar Association Board of Directors. Mr. Googasian served as a law clerk to Michigan Supreme Court Justice Marilyn J. Kelly and worked as a special assistant to the assistant attorney general in charge of the Criminal Division for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in Washington, DC. During his time at Main Justice, he received the DOJ Special Achievement Award for Meritorious Acts or Service. Mr. Googasian received the 2007 Distinguished Brief Award from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School for writing a brief submitted to the Michigan Supreme Court on behalf of the State Bar of Michigan. A frequent author on Michigan law, he has been recognized every year since 2008 as a Michigan Super Lawyer.
