Tamara York Cook practices in the areas of litigation and appellate law. Before serving in her current position as supervising assistant corporation counsel for the City of Detroit Law Department, she was a partner at an insurance defense firm. Before that, Ms. Cook worked for 20 years as a judicial law clerk at the Michigan Supreme Court, where she served four Michigan Supreme Court justices. She graduated first in her class from Michigan State University College of Law, accumulating numerous honors and awards. Ms. Cook is a member of the State Bar of Michigan.
