Steven B. Bender has over two decades of experience providing legal counsel to hospitals, physicians, management and governance committees, and business units. As managing counsel of Trinity's Health Networks Division, he is involved in physician network design, physician alignment strategies, and the strengthening of the clinical integration among ambulatory services, senior care services, and home care. Mr. Bender also provides legal advice on a wide range of regulatory compliance and enforcement issues, including Stark, Anti-Kickback, and False Claims Acts; antitrust; clinical integration; physician compensation; corporate governance; privacy; and security. Prior to joining Trinity Health in 2003, he was in private practice with the law firm Hall, Render, Killian, Heath, and Lyman and was also assistant general counsel to Virtua Health, the largest health care provider in southern New Jersey. Mr. Bender received his law degree from the Detroit College of Law.
