Barbara J. Brown recently retired from her position as an assistant attorney general for the State of Michigan, a position that she held from 1987 to 2003 and 2008 to 2011. She served in the state attorney general's Finance, Executive, Transportation, and Municipal Affairs Divisions and was the recipient of the attorney general's 2010 Excellence in Opinion Draftsmanship Award. Ms. Brown is a former 92nd District Court judge and former administrative law judge for the State of Michigan. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and currently serves as vice-chairperson of the Mackinac Bridge Authority.
