Megan P. Norris practices in the area of employment litigation defense. She is a principal with the firm and is former chair of both the firm's managing directors and labor and employment law group. Ms. Norris is the author of several articles on employment law and has been a frequent speaker on employment issues, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, and discrimination. She is coauthor of the 1994, 2004, and 2014 editions of the "Michigan Public Employer Labor Relations Manual" chapter on disability discrimination and was a contributor to the national Employment Discrimination Law supplements on the ADA, published in 1998, 2000, and 2002. She has contributed to a number of other publications, including Bloomberg's "Employment Discrimination Law." Ms. Norris is a past president of the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association and Detroit Barristers Association and a former member of the State Bar of Michigan's Labor and Employment Law Section Council. She is on the advisory board for the National Employment Law Institute and is a former member of the board of trustees of Wesleyan University and former chair of the Detroit Police Commission.
