One of two originating members of the firm, Michele C. Marquardt practices in the areas of estate and business succession planning. She is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. Ms. Marquardt is a member of the Probate and Estate Planning, Real Property Law, and Business Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan; the Real Property, Trust, and Estate Law Section of the American Bar Association; and the Kalamazoo County Bar Association. She is a former member of the State Bar of Michigan's Probate and Estate Planning Section's council, for which she chaired the Legislative Monitoring Committee. Ms. Marquardt has taught at Nazareth College and Davenport College and has been an adjunct professor of estate planning at Western Michigan University. She has been elected as a Super Lawyer in estate planning every year since 2007 and has been recognized by "Worth" and "Hour Detroit" magazines as a top attorney in estate planning. Ms. Marquardt is a frequent speaker for ICLE seminars on the topic of estate planning.
