A trial lawyer for over 25 years, Judith A. Baxter's practice emphasizes criminal law, family law, and general civil litigation. For over 20 years, she served as an assistant Kent County prosecuting attorney and participated in training western Michigan law enforcement agencies in various subjects, including drug asset seizures and forfeitures. Ms. Baxter is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and its General Practice, Family Law, and Criminal Law Sections. She has served on the state bar's Character and Fitness Committee and the Michigan State Bar Standing Committee on Standard Criminal Jury Instructions. A life fellow of the Michigan State Bar Foundation, Ms. Baxter is also a member of the Michigan Association for Justice. She is a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association and has served on the Diversity Committee, the Gender Bias Committee, the Practice and Procedure Committee, and the Caseflow Management Committee. Ms. Baxter has guest lectured on juvenile delinquency and neglect issues at Grand Valley State University School of Social Work and for Central Michigan University's Criminal Justice Program in Grand Rapids.
