Janis L. Blough

Janis L. Blough has twice served as a research attorney for the Michigan Court of Appeals. Before that, she served as an assistant prosecutor, first briefly in Eaton County and then in Ingham County for over 11 years. In addition to doing felony and misdemeanor trial work, Ms. Blough was appellate specialist and chief of the Appellate and Family Support Divisions of the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office. She is a past president of the National Association of Women Lawyers and has been active in the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan at the state and local levels. In addition, Ms. Blough has been a member of the American and Ingham County Bar Associations and served on the State Bar Representative Assembly for four years. She has lectured for the Prosecuting Attorney's Coordinating Council and Cooley Law School, has served as editor of the "Women Lawyers Journal" for several years, and has written for the "Wayne Law Review."
