Samuel E. McCargo, a member of his firm's litigation group, has more than four decades of experience in litigation and arbitration. Before his affiliation with the firm, he was employed by The Wellness Plan for eight years, where he served as vice president, business development and marketing; vice president, plan administration; and associate general counsel. Mr. McCargo provided legal counsel, advice, and representation in areas of labor and employment, provider contracting, government relations, and commercial business. He was also a senior shareholder at Kirk McCargo, PC, for over 12 years and was responsible for all internal firm trial skills training. Mr. McCargo has served the State Bar of Michigan in various capacities, including a four-year term as commissioner, and has served as a state hearing officer in its Departments of Public Health and Civil Service. An author and lecturer, he regularly conducts seminars on trial practice, professional ethics, labor and employment, and sexual harassment issues in the public and private sectors.
