Glenn R. White

Glenn R. White is the deputy treasurer for tax administration. Prior to his appointment he held the positions of director of the Bureau of Tax Policy and administrator of the Tax Policy Division in the Bureau of Tax Policy at the Michigan Department of Treasury. As deputy treasurer, Mr. White oversees the administration of the state's individual and business taxes, including the individual income tax, sales and use tax, motor fuel tax, tobacco tax, single business tax, and the Michigan business tax. He directs the activities of the Customer Contact, Tax Compliance, and Tax Processing bureaus as well as the Bureau of Tax Policy and the Office of Revenue and Tax Analysis. Prior to joining the Department of Treasury, Mr. White was employed by the Michigan Department of Attorney General as an assistant attorney general in the Revenue and Collections Division, where he represented the Department of Treasury in tax litigation. He holds a law degree from Cooley Law School and a master of laws in taxation from New York University.
