Practicing in the area of commercial litigation, David J. Gass is a member of the firm's management committee and chairperson of its litigation section. He is a past chairperson of the Hillman Advocacy Program of the U.S. District Court Western District; a former president of the Federal Bar Association for the Western District of Michigan; a past chairperson of the Grand Rapids Bar Association's CLE Committee; and a fellow of the Michigan State Bar Foundation. A speaker at CLE programs, Mr. Gass has published several articles in the "Michigan Bar Journal" and is a contributing author to ICLE's "Michigan Contract Law." A 1980 cum laude Harvard Law School graduate, he is named in "The Best Lawyers in America" for business litigation and was ranked by "Super Lawyers" as one of the top 100 lawyers in Michigan.
