H. Ward Classen

Towson, MD


H. Ward Classen has over 25 years of experience practicing information technology law. For over 22 years he worked for Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) holding positions of increasing responsibility in CSC's legal department, most recently as deputy general counsel. He was a member of the "Catholic University Law Review" and editor-in-chief and founder of the "Journal of Contemporary Health Law and Policy." Mr. Classen serves on a number of business, professional, and civic boards, including the board of editors of the Computer & Internet Lawyer and the board of trustees of the Walters Art Museum. He is the author of "A Practical Guide to Software Licensing for Licensees and Licensors: Model Forms and Annotations" published by the American Bar Association. Mr. Classen has been widely published in legal journals and has spoken extensively before professional groups both domestically and internationally. His recent articles address technology licensing, export controls, law department management, and managing inside and outside counsel relationships.
