Mark A. Satawa practices in the area of criminal defense, specializing in forensic DNA, sex crimes, homicide cases, shaken baby and other medically intensive child abuse cases, and federal crimes. Prior to joining his present firm, Mr. Satawa served as an assistant attorney general for the state of Michigan and as an assistant prosecuting attorney for Wayne County. He is a former member of the board of directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) and a member of the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan (CDAM) and the Michigan Innocence Project. Mr. Satawa is a frequent lecturer on criminal law topics for groups including the State Bar of Michigan, ICLE, NACDL, and CDAM and has spoken nationwide.
