Geoffrey S. Weed is a district commissioner at the Michigan Court of Appeals. He has published several articles in various legal periodicals, including the "Michigan Bar Journal" and the "Washington and Lee Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice." He is a member of the Appellate Practice Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Mr. Weed is a magna cum laude graduate of Cooley Law School, where he won 10 "book awards," served on the board of editors of the Law Review, and won an intraschool mock trial competition. Before graduating, Mr. Weed interned for former Chief Justice Maura Corrigan at the Michigan Supreme Court.
