Using the "Current to" Date and and the Summary of Changes

Current to date

The Current to date on each chapter reflects its currency. ICLE monitors changes in the existing law on an ongoing basis and adds any changes to the online resources within two weeks of their occurrence. If a major new development requires significant revision of a chapter that will require more than two weeks to implement, that fact will be flagged in the text and the summary of changes.

What's new in this chapter

Along with updating your chapter text to give you the most current information possible, ICLE‘s online book chapters also include What's new in this chapter . Use the   What's new in this chapter link at the top of each chapter to review the changes that we‘ve made during the last 12 months. Look for the   What's new in this section link beside the chapter sections to indicate a change has occurred in the section. Click the link to view a summary of that change. Note that the   What's new in this chapter link will appear at the top of a chapter only if a change has been made to it during the past 12 months. Similarly, the link will only appear beside a section number if a change has been made to it.

To use this feature:

  1. Click What's new in this chapter (or section) at the top of the chapter or at the beginning of a section.
  2. The summary of changes will open.
  3. Use the back button or section number links to return to your chapter.

Printing a Chapter

ICLE‘s online books include a print friendly option for each chapter. This feature allows you to print any chapter in your book without the images at the top and side of ICLE's web site.

  2. A standard print box will appear, giving you the opportunity to choose a printer and other printer options.
  3. Set the printer options or keep the default settings (as you normally would when printing other documents).
  4. Click OK or Print in your print box.
  5. The chapter will be sent to your printer.

Tip: If you have a long chapter on the screen and would like to print just a portion it, you can select one or a few pages to print. To do this,

  1. Pull down the File menu at the top of your browser window
  2. Click on Print Preview.
  3. A print preview window will appear on your screen.
  4. In Print Preview, find the pages you wish to print. (Note the page numbers that appear on the screen.)
  5. Click Print.
  6. Click Pages and type the page numbers you wish to print. (This can be either a range of numbers or nonconsecutive page numbers separated by commas.)
  7. Click OK.

Note that you may experience some delay or difficulty printing large files. Some printers do not have enough memory to print large files all at once. Solutions: 1) print a few pages at a time; 2) consider a printer upgrade.
