ICLE was created in 1959 at the request of the Board of Commissioners of the State Bar of Michigan to meet the continuing education needs of the legal community.

For 50 years, ICLE has worked to support the continuing legal education needs of Michigan lawyers by focusing on practical tools and establishing a network of volunteer speakers and authors who contribute their expertise.

Over the years, ICLE has complemented its core of seminars and publications with numerous online tools through its Partnership program, Online Library, and Michigan Law Online.

Today, ICLE is a leader in its use of cutting-edge technology and brings the newest and best techniques in adult learning to lawyers throughout Michigan.
