Richard J. Seryak practiced in the area of labor relations and employment law, specializing in employment discrimination and wrongful discharge civil litigation in the state and federal courts, as well as arbitrations and proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Michigan Department of Civil Rights. He represented and advised institutions of higher education, public utilities, and employers in the auto industry. Mr. Seryak was admitted to practice in Michigan and Ohio and before the federal courts in the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan and the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio. Mr. Seryak died in December 2013.
