Anne Marie Burr

Anne Marie Burr serves as the director of legal research and writing at Wayne State University Law School. She also serves as a part-time professor of negotiation at Wayne State's Schools of Business and Communication and has just completed an academic appointment as a visiting assistant professor of legal practice at the University of Peking's School of Transnational Law in Shenzhen, China. Her law review article, "Law and Harmony: An In-depth Look at China's First Western-Style Law School," will be published by UCLA's "Pacific Basin Law Journal" in 2011. Prior to joining Wayne State, Ms. Burr was an assistant professor of research, writing, and advocacy at Ave Maria School of Law. She has also served as an equity partner in the regional law firm of Dykema Gossett, as senior counsel of the multinational corporation Allied Domecq, and as a law clerk for U.S. District Judge George E. Woods. In addition to courses in legal practice and negotiation, Ms. Burr has taught debtor-creditor law, civil procedure, and evidence. She has also published numerous articles on commercial law and dispute resolution.
