Joel T. Finnell joined the firm in 2011. He specializes in appellate law and focuses on representing clients in the Michigan Court of Appeals and Michigan Supreme Court. Mr. Finnell is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and its Appelate Practice Section, the American Bar Association, the Ingham County Bar Association, the Michigan Association for Justice, and the National Trial Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice in Michigan, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan and the Southern District of Illinois, the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Finnell has been listed in Leading Lawyers since 2022 and was recognized as a Rising Star (2015-2021) and as a Super Lawyer (2022-2023) by Michigan Super Lawyers, as well as a Top 40 Under 40 (2017-2018) and a Top 100 (2019) trial lawyer by The National Trial Lawyers.
