Louis C. Szura practices in the area of health care law and business litigation. Mr. Szura focuses his practice on advising and representing health care providers on the operations of their businesses and in various types of litigation faced by such providers. He has experience with practice formation; contract negotiations; employment disputes; management contracts; noncompete agreements; insurance and network provider disputes; HIPAA; Stark; AKS; and other compliance and license issues. Mr. Szura has also represented whistleblowers under the federal False Claims Act and other similar statutes with respect to health care fraud. He is previous chair of the State Bar of Michigan’s Health Care Law Section and continues to serve on its council. Mr. Szura has presented and written on numerous health care law topics such as telemedicine, privacy in mental health practices, and starting a medical practice.
