Mercedes Varasteh Dordeski is assistant general counsel with the organization. Ms. Dordeski focuses in the areas of provider contracting, including value-based contracting; supporting BCBSM’s pharmacy division; and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining BCBSM, Ms. Dordeski served as corporate counsel for an NCQA-accredited managed behavioral health organization. She is a frequent speaker and author on health law issues, and has written more than two dozen articles, many of which have appeared in national publications. Ms. Dordeski is past chair of the State Bar of Michigan Health Care Law Section and previously served as a vice chair of publications for the American Health Law Association.
